I'm Stacey, currently a co-term student in Symbolic Systems. I'm mainly interested in the art/graphics and architecture/physical (well, virtual...) appearance of the world, as well as games.

Application ideas: 1. GUI for drawing/building (simple) objects in the virtual world (ideally this would make it easy/intuitive for the average user to create stuff in the world) 2. social networking/connecting users of the virtual world--like a chat client, except ideally connecting people based on a) location/current activity in the virtual world or b) shared interests/goals in whatever domain (relevant to what these users are doing with the virtual world or to their personalities in the real world) 3. lots of tools for various kinds of collaboration! (vague, I know) 4. creatures who can live in the virtual world and be generally helpful/cute--guides for new users, script code debuggers, etc. (think the Librarian in Snow Crash, not the Microsoft paperclip) 5. machine learning/AI applications would be fascinating but haven't thought of anything that makes sense for these early stages
