Interests

-Making users' experiences more vivid. If they are interacting with each other in the world, it should be like they are really in the same place, seeing the same things and sharing the same experience. If they are able to physically interact with one another, it will hopefully make being in the world seem more 'real' than just interacting through text conversations. -Making the world easy to navigate and organize, so that users can easily find the parts of the world they are most interested in exploring. -Music related applications

Ideas for applications

-I'm really interested in applications that create an enhanced version of reality. For example, users could browse personalized malls that contain stores and entertainment that they pick for themselves, and be able to share their personalized places with friends. Or there could be labs where users could interact with one another and create their own digital music, art, or video etc. They could be stocked with libraries of easily searchable digital clips, editing tools, etc and the user's work could be easily shared with others or exported to saved files.

-Since a virtual world doesn't need to be limited to laws of physics like the real world, I think it would be really interesting to have sections of the world modeled after popular fantasy worlds that people could explore. For example, there could be a section modeled after the Harry Potter world. When people enter it, they would automatically be able to try out spells, fly on a broomstick (if they have one) and play Quidditch, and see magical creatures.

-I am also interested in applications that keep the world accessible and organized for all users. Because of all the different possibilites and aspects of the world, it can probably become confusing and chaotic very quickly to people who don't know what's going on. So it would be nice to have interactive maps etc to help people see the big picture and find out where they want to go/ what they want to do.
